Senate Jeremy Cooney Fundraiser

Senate Jeremy Cooney Fundraiser
Please join Big I Rochester on Wednesday, July 17th from 5:00-6:30 at the Genesee Brew House for a fundraiser in support of Big I New York’s Independent Agents Political Action Committee (IAPAC), with special guest Senator Jeremy Cooney.

IAPAC allows Big I NY to support candidates for state office who understand the importance of our industry. It is an important way to build relationships with influential elected officials.

Senator Cooney made history in 2020 as the first Asian American elected to state office from upstate New York, and the first state senator in decades to graduate from Rochester City School District (RCSD).

Senator Cooney co-sponsored legislation to end mandatory pre-insurance photo inspections, and voted in support of bills to end misleading insurance pricing practices and eliminate the “diligent effort” requirement for commercial excess lines transactions. He currently serves on the Senate Insurance Committee, and is the sponsor of legislation to address lawsuit lending, a significant contributor to the state’s out of control litigation climate.

Attendees are asked to make a $99 contribution to IAPAC or directly to Senator Cooney’s campaign.

IMPORTANT: If you live in Senate District 56, your $99 personal (not corporate) contribution qualifies for a state public finance match of $1,041, for a total impact of $1,140. (Strongly recommended)
